Chris Gayle makes second career 300 as West Indies dominate Sri Lanka

Chris Gayle has become only the fourth man in cricket history to make more than one triple-century in Test match cricket.

The West Indian joins Don Bradman, Virender Sehwag and Brian Lara after reaching 300 just before tea on day two of the second Test against Sri Lanka in Galle.
It was an innings of typical aggression from the former captain, who reached 300 off 393 balls in a knock that by tea had included 32 fours and eight sixes and reached 313.
Though Gayle dominated the scoring, he got support from Adrian Barath (50), Darren Bravo (58), Shivnarine Chanderpaul (32) and Brendan Nash (55 not out) as the tourists reached 532 for three at tea.
Gayle's previous triple-ton came against South Africa in Antigua in April 2005, when he made 317 in a West Indies total of 747.
